Due to COVID-19 pandemic these days, some foreigners have remained stuck in Thailand, their visa amnesty; however, will be automatically extended until September, 26 2020 according to announcement from Ministry of Interior.
To avoid congestion, those who wish to continue their stays in Thailand are recommended to arrange visa extension at the soonest time. The requests between today to September 26, 2020 are likewise to be effective on September 27, 2020 for all types of visa:
Short-term visa holders (TR, TS, VOA) and foreigners
- Short-term visa holders (TR, TS, VOA) and foreigners under the visa exemption list should prepare for departure within September 26, except in cases of:
Illness – Show medical certificate at Immigration
Uncontrollable circumstance (Flights shortage/ Pandemic in home country) – Contact Embassy or Consulate for certificate. The Immigration will consider approving the stay but not more than 30 days.
- Long-term visa holders are required to arrange visa extension within September 26 and it is to be effective on September 27, 2020.
- 90-day Reporting cases due on March 26 – July 31, 2020 were asked to inform about the residences on August 1-31, 2020, but they are still authorized to report until this September 26.
